DONE!!!
I just can't read these anymore. The storyline is good. It's interesting. I just REFUSE to buy another one of these books in order to skip half of it passing over the gross porn filler to get to the story. Let me describe gross for you... a guy with a forked tongue and a "member" that is actually two members, one of which is a dominant one and one that is thinner and barbed and is solely used for the "rose hole". Yeah... I almost died laughing at the rose hole reference. AND if I have to read about another "manroot" every third page I'm going to scream. A manroot... really? I want to know what happens with Lara and her destiny and everything, but I just can't suffer through another one of these books to figure it out. I just don't care that much! If you're into weird porn, forked tongues, and obscure, weird refrences to sex organs this is the book for you. This was not the book for me. The bad thing is, it could have been.

Loved it!
I loved this series when I first started reading it and they never get old! I love the World of Hetar and I loved this book. It just made everything that much deeper for the story line! I can't wait until the 4th book comes out!

Bertrice Small does not disappoint in the Twilight Lord.
Lara is back...continuing on her quest as her destiny guides her. This book is full of adventure and excitement and plenty of hot sex. I highly recommend this latest installment in the World of Hetar series and anxiously await book 4 !

The purple pen is bleeding ink on this one!
I am a big fan of this series, and I loved the first 2 books, but this book waxes deviant in it's sexuality. I like a good hot read as much as the next woman, but there are parts of this book that struck me as revolting. it is a sad sign if I have to leaf through the sex to get to more interesting plot. Hopefully Ms. Small can get her groove back and entertain us for the 4th installment. I just found the sex to be distracting in this 'episode'.

A reviewer
Magnus Hauk¿s wife Lara learns that war is imminent between her homeland Hetar and the land she and her husband rules over Terah. She feels divided loyalties and would like to prevent the hostilities, but has no idea how to achieve her lofty goal.------------ However, she has no time to act because the Twilight Lord Kol kidnaps her as he believes she is the faerie queen, who will give birth to his replacement. Lara suffers from amnesia and becomes Kol's lover ultimately she gives birth to twin boys. When she recalls who she is she returns to her husband Magnus in order to prevent war from breaking out between the kingdoms for she knows the long term price of the subsequent chaos means the end of life as she knows it.--------------- The third World of Hetar fantasy (see LARA and A DISTANT TOMORROW) is a strong tale that makes the fairie queen realm seem plausible even with magic being the physics of that plane. Lara is a fascinating protagonist who remains fresh as she as destiny¿s darling (or victim) caught in a tug of war. Fans will enjoy her latest sexual frolics and her actions to stay alive.--------------- Harriet Klausner
