What a fantastic addition to the Tracer’s series.

We have a serial killer on our hands.. He likes to stalk his women then rape and cut their throats from ear to ear.
Mark Wolfe is a FBI special agent who works in the Behavior Analysis Unit. He has come to San Marcos, Texas to investigate a murder which he thinks is tied to killer he has been tracking since 2000 that started in California. Mark has a lot of cases on his plate and he is the most sought after agent in the Bureau but he promised the family of one of the victims that he would never give up on finding the killer. He’s 43 and pretty close to burnout. He lost his first wife to his dedication to his job and is pretty much a loner.

Allison Doyle made detective at 25 and here two years later she still feels like she has yet to gain the respect of those she works with due to her age and gender. Her boss refuses to put her on the case of the latest victim and when she realizes what Wolfe is in town for she goes to his motel and wants answers. She wants to prove herself and get on the task force that she knows is going to come about for the Death Raven as Wolfe likes to call him.

Mark and Alison follow up with lots of leads. And when they find out that there is a lot of evidence that still hasn’t been processed from previous cases Alison makes a call to her friends at the Delphi Center to help with the DNA samples and eventually utilize the new online profiling they are just starting.

This book had my attention from the first chapter until the last. The author did a great job of keeping you guessing on who the murderer was until the end.

    Excellent read!

I was getting kind of burned out on mystery books but I always have to have something to read and I noticed this book in the under 2.99 section so I decided to give it a chsnce. I was pleasantly surprised by the realness if the characters and the freshness of the plot. I read it very quickly because not only was interested to discover who the killer was, I also was curious about the budding romance in the book. The author's take on romance and the murders were totally believable which is so rare today. I loved this book and look forward to reading more of the series.

I had not read any of the Tracer series before this book, however, I'm planning to read them all from the 1st one. Really enjoyed the books....of course it doesn't hurt that I'm from the around the Austin area..so that makes it even more interesting. So glad to have found another author to read.

    Good Read

I have read many Laura Griffin Suspense Books and hvae never been disappointed.
This was a good read but probably not in my top 10 favorites from her.
The heroine and hero are good and the story definitely keeps you interested. I would recommend this to anyone who likes a good mystery with a little romance thrown in.

    GOOD QUICK READ!!

Ms. Griffin's books are always enjoyable, and this one did not disappoint. A good fast-paced read with lots of nail biting, plot twists, and a nice hot little bit if romance tucked in.

This book is one in Ms. Griffin's "Tracer" series, but each in this series can be read as stand alone books. I would recommend reading all of them though, as they are all great books!

Thanx for another great read Ms. Griffin. On to the next!! PLEASE keep them coming!!!

A great addition to the series!

If you've read the other books in the series, you'll enjoy this one as well. All of the books are written in a way that keep you in suspense, but have a great story line as well. The characters are likeable, unless they're evil, of course. And I like how she keeps the previous characters involved but not in a way where they distract from the current plot.
