I had some stubborn behavioral problems with one of my cats and this little book held the answers. The author didn't just tell me how to fix the problem, she explained why it works. You'll find all types of training problems addressed.I have a clearer understanding of cats now and am grateful for finding this book as soon as I did. It's like getting a lesson in cat commonsense.

    Not worth the money

This book wasn't worth the time it took to flip the cover. My cat isn't that bad, but had some behaviors I was trying to change. This book recommends positive reinforcement. It works for the moment, but that's it. I didn't think this book was in depth. It seemed as if this was written for someone who had never owned a cat. I wouldn't buy it again.

    The Cat Owner's Bible

Just about every behavior problem is covered in this book, with easy to follow solutions. Pam Johnson-Bennett is probably this country's most well-known cat expert and after reading this book, I can understand why. I felt as if she was holding my hand throughout the entire book. Cat owners are indeed very lucky to have Johnson-Bennett in their corner. I hope she continues to write many more books. This is simply the best book. I am a veterinarian and I advise all of my clients to read Johnson-Bennett's books. If more people read her work, there'd be far fewer cats put to death or abandoned each year.

    Insightful, Refreshing, Witty and Wise

I've read so many cat books before but this one was unlike anything I've ever seen. Pam Johnson-Bennett provides real solutions to the kinds of problems many cat owners face. Her writing is funny, gentle and wise. I had heard of her before but after reading this book, I understand why she's considered one of the country's top pet experts. Since following Pam's advice, I not only corrected my cat's behavior problem, but I've watched as our relationship has grown closer. My cat used to be the typical aloof, cranky, independent cat, but now she loves being petted, comes when I call her and lets me brush her without any problem. Pam Johnson-Bennett has probably saved thousands of cats' lives through her books.
