Great series
This entire series is fantastic and I would highly recommend it to any parent who has a reluctant reader in their house. Sure, it's great for the highest of readers, too, and that's what a great author does. Similar to the Harry Potter series in that it appeals to a large group of readers, all the books were funny and dealt with humorous issues on so many levels of understanding. Funny for the 8-year-old and equally funny for the 13-year-old. I have a lot of trouble finding books for my 9-year-old son and he is very picky. This will be a sure hit. Another book I'd recommend to those of you in my situation would be "Did You Ever Wonder" by Brendan Lynch. It's one of those humorous books that my son loves. The day he got it he kept reading entries to my husband and I. I'm always on the hunt for books for him though so I'll keep searching!

I'm a 6th grade student- Glendale,Az - The Ugly Truth about The Ugly Truth
I'm going to talk about Diary Of A Wimpy Kid-The Ugly Truth. This book is by Jeff Kinney. I have read every one of the Diary of the Wimpy Kid books. This book is about a boy named Greg who goes through middle school. Greg is not a nice friend and does not want to be a kid anymore. He wants to grow up, but not face the changes on the way to become an adult. Rowerly was Greg's best friend and now is nerdy more than ever. Greg really wants a friend so at the end he and Rowerly are friends again. That's really the main part in the book. The setting is a lot of places. The main place is school and Greg's house. The minor setting is Greg's Gamie's house. Gamie is like a protagonist and minor character at the same time. Gamie is Greg's great- grandmother. This book is all over the place. It is not an organized book in my opinion. There is a rumor that there might be another Diary of a Wimpy Kid book coming up. I would highly recommend not buying it. I also think that the author Jeff Kinney, needs a break. I think he should also revise his stories. The reason I recommended the other Diary of a Wimpy Kid's is because they have a plot. You can find out more by reading their reviews. I would recommend for girls Dear Dumb Diary, that series actually has a plot, and a theme. Let's talk about Diary of a Wimpy Kid-The Ugly Truth's theme. There isn't one. Every book is supposed to have a theme or moral, this book doesn't. If you need the theme for this book then do not do it as a book report. I can not stress enough about NOT BUYING this book. DON'T BUY THIS BOOK. It has nothing to offer - it's not even funny. That is my review. Here is my tip to the author: take more time on your books. I can tell you rushed on this book. The ugly truth about this book is it's not a good book.

Wow Seriously?
I'm really exited to get this book. I'm buying it today. But really people you can't give it a 5 star rating if you haven't even read the dang book! I know it will probably be good but I don't know so 4 stars just because I don't know.

Last book of the series (so far) didn't disappoint!
Another very funny installment. If you haven't already read all of the previous books, you must read them first! The story of Greg's life continues. My favorite part from this book is, "When you're a little kid, nobody ever warns you that you've got an expiration date. One day you're hot stuff and the next day you're a dirt sandwich." :-) Great, funny stuff!

Diary of a Whimpy Kid: The Ugly Truth
Greg had a big fight with his best-friend, Rowley . Then he finds out that Rowley's parents found a replacement best friend, a hired role-model from a company called "Cool Brian". Now without a best friend, Greg's tries to become popular in various ways, most of which are immediately backfired. Another struggle that arises, is that Greg must attend his uncle's fourth wedding, and when his wedding comes, Greg will have "The Talk" with his great-grandmother "Gammie", a polite but sly and clever old woman. "The Ugly Truth" picks up on the theme that kicked off the series in 2007: Greg's ex-friendship with the portly, innocent Rowley. Rowley, an only child whose parents have coddled him, has spent the summer with a new best friend that his mom and dad hired through a mentor rental service. And Greg, with just a couple days left before school restarts, is considering his options for a substitute friend who could cushion his discomfort at being 52nd most popular in class. "When you're a kid, nobody ever warns you that you've got an expiration date. One day you're hot stuff, and the next day you're a dirt sandwich," Greg writes. Told from Greg's point of view, "The Ugly Truth," like all previous "Diary" books, is presented in journal form on ruled paper in a font that emulates handwriting. Complementing and, in many cases, literally drawing out the action, every page has at least one pen-and-ink illustration. Many of them are accompanied by word- and thought-bubbles, making these cartoon-enhanced novels easy to read and popular with boys. No one said growing up was easy. In Kinney's hands, it's not only difficult but laugh-out-loud hysterical. The author plans to pen two more "Diary" books. What isn't funny is having to wait for the next one. "The Ugly Truth" brims with uncomfortably funny and cringe-worthy situations such as Greg's transition from a pediatric dentist to oral surgeon Salazar Kagan, whose office is filled with horrific specimens of inadequate dental care, such as the rotting tooth in a jar of soda. Or the time Greg is forced to do laundry and to fold his mom's underwear. When Greg's mom decides to go back to school and leaves Greg, his dad and two brothers to make their own dinner, it ends with a visit to the emergency room.

I think that kids should read and buy Diary of a Wimpy Kid The Ugly Truth because it’s kind of teaching you things about Greg’s problems.

The book affected me because Greg and I are similar. Greg and I are the same age and we both have problems with the people around us. This book shows that I have someone else like me. It made me feel like Greg and I want to grow up fast. The Ugly Truth of growing up is that Greg and I want to grow up but don’t want our bodies to change. Also Greg and I want to do different things, like Greg wants to go to Jordan Jury’s party and I want to go to over night camp.
Reading this book made me happy because Greg has an interesting life and has alot of interesting things going on. People should read the book because Greg may be similar to you guys and or you guys may go through what Greg is going through. -

Book title and author: Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Ugly Truth by Jeff Kinney
Title of review: The Ugly Truth Review
Number of stars (1 to 5): 5 Stars
Introduction
When was the last time you read a good book? The best book I ever read was Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Ugly Truth by Jeff Kinney. If you love humor and dorky kids, you would love this book, so stop what you¿re doing and pick up this book.
Description and summary of main points
This book is about a boy named Greg Heffley. Greg and his friend Rowley were best friends and over the summer they got in a fight. Greg is lazy and always had Rowley carry him up the big hill to their houses. Rowley finally got sick of it and they ¿broke-up.¿ Now all Greg is worried about is going back to school and seeing Rowley because the two of them had a good thing going. In this book Greg also tries to find a new best friend, instead of one wimpy kid.
Evaluation
I personally love humor especially about wimpy dorks making their way through middle school. The book is great for kids who love humor. To understand this book you need sustained silence which is perfect. I think kids who love humor books and are about in their young teens should read this book.
Conclusion
In conclusion, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Ugly Truth is the best book I ever read and it had me laughing out loud almost the entire book. Soon, there will be a movie following the series.
Your final review
I give this book 5 star.

Title of review: Diary of a Wimpy Kid the Ugly Truth Review
Number of stars (1 to 5): 4
Introduction
If you love humor books, then you would love this book that I¿m writing about. It is called Diary of a Wimpy Kid the Ugly Truth by Jeff Kinney. It¿s full of humor and wimpy kids. I feel like the main idea of the book is what the authors thinking about, and is told in a first person view. I like the book and I also think that it is a funny book.
Description and summary of main points
This book is like a diary about this kid named Greg Heffley. It¿s about him going through middle school. He made a popular chart and in this book he¿s in the middle of the chart. He wants to get this one girl, Holly Hills, to like him. That¿s the summary of this book.
Evaluation
¿The main problem in this book is that he is trying to get past middle school without getting picked on. But he doesn¿t do a great job.
Conclusion
Diary of a Wimpy Kid the Ugly Truth is a funny humorous book. This book is really great and you will like it. Greg Heffley is trying to get Holly Hills to like him. The main problem is that he is trying to get past middle school without getting picked on like I said in my evaluation.

truely a hilarious
The book Diary of a wimpy kid the ugly truth is by Jeff Kinney is a great book. In the beginning you meet the characters Greg Huffley and Rowley Jefferson. They are fighting and ended the friend ship in the beginning of the book. Greg goes to his first mixed girl boy parties at the school, and things turn out really bad. Greg is looking forward to a dentist appointment because he likes his dentist but his dad changes how Greg is going to see for his check up. I believe this is a humorous book and I think everyone should read it. One funny part is when Greg has to talk to his grandmother about the changes he will be experiencing. Another is when he thinks he will be a grooms man and becomes the assistant flower boy. You might want to start at the beginning of the series because the first couple will give you more off an idea of who the characters are. I believe it is a truly great book. If you like humor you will probably love this book I know I did.
