Unclutter Your Life in One Week

The clutter I cleared after reading this book was amazing!

This book was great to kick start me into clearing clutter and getting more organized. This book was very easy to read and inspired me to get to work on the suggestions. I was overwhelmed with what lurked in my drawers and closets and reading this book helped me know where to start. So I started, and then my own plan really emerged, but without the clarity and plan set out by this author I would still be contemplating getting organized. The information is not rocket science or many ideas that I hadn't already thought of, but what it was was a roadmap to putting them all together to get through the act of doing what I knew needed to be done. It was a fun process and the book made a challenge and game out of getting rid of clutter and getting more organized. It does feel great to have clean closets!

You can unclutter but it takes more than 1 week!

I needed this book to help me organize me, my family and my home. The concepts are excellent however you will need more than a week to organize every topic they suggest especially if you are organizing a family (like me). It gave excellent directions on how to get started and move forward however it is not possible to do everything they recommend in 1 week unless you work all 24 hours in each day! I worked steadily as the book suggested but depending on what room I was working on, it did take longer. I did manage to finish in 2 1/2 weeks. I would highly recommend this book because it gives excellent advice and practical suggestions.

Great organizational reading.

Unclutter Your Life...was, for me, a very good read. I liked the authors' motivational tone and it really got me to thinking about how I could change things and do things around the house better. I would recommend it to others mainly because it did really inspire me to do better.

Useful. Really great suggestions

Really great suggestions. The biggest complaint I've seen about this book is the fact that her timeline of becoming completely uncluttered seems unrealistic--esp. for those with children and other obligations. That is definitely true. The timeline was unrealistic, but her concept was rock solid. The idea of breaking you tasks down into manageable chunks was practical, and even though it was a "duh" concept, she organizes and breaks down the tasks for you. She even has a ton of internet resources, and tells you how to use them!. She includes a list of fall/spring cleaning, and separates for three different types of lifestyles from average-super busy. This was a good reference book that I'm likely to go back and refer to as needed.

this book is very inspiring to make you want to unclutter your life. She was on Rachel Ray and was very inspiring and made me want to buy the book.
