The Great Battles (part four)

Mason took a small step forward with tyler. Racheal seemed pleased and smiled a little. "I shall be your mentor from now on. Now sit together." Mason and tyler glanced at each other and did so. "Shawn! Your mentor shall be caden. Follow the tunnel straight on untill you see him." Shawn nodded and headed out, leaveing mason with tyler and racheal.
"Mason, come with me for a minute. Tyler, you come too, just watch." Mason stomach flipped twice at the sound of that. What was going to happen? Racheal led them back to the table with straps, witch made mason's stomach do another flip. Racheal had him take off his shirt and lay down. Then she strapped his head, wrists, middle, legs, and neck down. Tyler was sitting in a cage, watching the whole thing. She picked up something and put a hand on his shoulder blade. "Grey black and red mason?" "Yeah but why?" Racheal said nothing and lifted her hand. "This might hurt."
Before mason could brace himself, boiling, searing, pain bust through his shoulder as if lava was poured on it. Mason screamed and tried to get away or at lest make sure there was no lava on him, but he had been straped down tightly. The pain expanded and he herd tyler gasp. "Stop it youre hurting him!!!" Racheal paid no attention and continued. Minutes later the pain ebbed and mason stopped screaming. Tears fell on the floor from his eyes and he sniffed. Soon he felt a needle poke into him. Racheal was stitching up the wound?
Then he remembered: the wings.
Racheal was sewing on wings, wings he could use to make him fly. Mason blinked away future tears and braced himself. The same hot pain continued and he tried not to scream. It sliped out sometimes but it came out less often then last time. Soon the pain decreased and racheal began sewing on the other wing. He sighed in half relife and half pain.
After what seemed like forever, racheal unstrapped him and had him sit up. "Go and look in the mirrior." She motioned toward a wall of looking glass and mason went speechles. Dark grey wings with black flecks were poping out of his shoulder blades. They were about 4 or 5 feet in wing span and perfect. He tured around and looked at racheal. "How do i fold them?" Racheal came over and led mason to the cage tyler was in. "Roll your shoulders back." Mason did so and he felt his wings fold against his back. "Get in mason. Its tyler's turn." Tyler didnt look so good as he was strapped down. Tyler swollowed. "Dark grey with black undersides." Racheal nodded and took out a kni<_>fe. Mason gasped as racheal cut deep in his shoulder blade and pull a bone out of a near by bucket. She put a glowing red coal on the end of it and jabed it in tyler's wound.
tyler screamed so loud mason covered his ears.
Racheal added another bone and mason turned away, feeling sick to the stomach. He couldnt watch anymore of this. After more screaming, there was a moments silence and tyler gasped. Mason turned to see dark grey wings with black undersides. They looked great on tyler, who was trying to flap. Insted he called out in pain and settled to folding them. Racheal let mason out and led them to their rooms, explaing how to sleep without crushing the wings.
Mason settled down on his bed, witch was a pile of blankets and a pillow. He had put on the pads to protect his new wings. As he closed his eyes he remembered two things. This wasnt home. He had to escape. Dodge the collar if needed.
to be continued at next result.
