Good Read
Simple Gifts was a good story, as was the story with Jors and a few others. Wish they would do a 3 book series with one of the lesser characters in more detail from the entire series or make something new within the Valdemar framework. I am getting really REALLY tired and bored with all the Ree and Jem stories though. Enough already. Only so much to be said about a half cat/half man. We get it...perpetual anxiety for the time when society turns on him and treats him as non-human. We already know where that story goes. It's like being force fed cod liver oil and you're not sick. Bad tasting and not necessary.

Highly Recommended -- Valdemar ... What's Not to Like!
Once again Mercedes Lackey has organized another great group of authors to share their tales of Valdemar -- from Heralds to Bards and the magnificent white Companions, it is delightful to return to this magical land. Anyone can enjoy this volume of tales whether you are a long-time reader of the stories of Valemar or checking out something new. The book should come with a warning though, if you are new to these tales, it won't be long before you add Mercedes Lackey's other books to your collection.

A mixed bag of short works set in Valdemar; most I liked as much
A mixed bag of short works set in Valdemar; most I liked as much as I like any shortstory (a few were just okay and could have really been set in other worlds but for some place and character/specie names). Particularly interesting the pseudo-science of magecraft and the cataclysms article at end by Larry Dixon. Not really a story but an interesting read for us Valdemar fans.

Read it. Love it.
As with all works by or edited by Mercedes Lackey, it was wonderful. While I love Mercedes stories more, the fan writers have also done an excellent job. Great book!

Another Great Valdemar Anthology
I really enjoyed this book. It adds some missing details to some of the minor characters from other Valdemar books and anthologies.
