Awsome
I used to think Judas Priest was average,un-dynamic, pop rock/metal, (like Kiss,Aereosmith,AC/DC,Whitsnake,Great White ect.) ..then I heard ''Unleashed in the East''.A friend of mine had the song '' Green Manilishi'' Blasting on his stereo, it was the part near the end where Rob Holford is singing harmony with the guitar, ''Who's this?'' ..''Judas Priest''..Then I heard ''Diamonds & Rust'' ..Impressive. Then ''Victim of Changes''-It was obvious to me that Rob Halford was able to express some pretty deep feelings about things not going his way. This was honest music, and VERY dynamic. The drumming is perfect,Les Binks makes full use of his huge drumset using high toms, double bass drums, china cymbals ect. some of the guitar playing sounds just like Kerry King (Slayer)..It is shocking that ''Unleashed in the East'' was released in 1979, it has such a fresh contemporary sound. One can really see how this recording is a big influence on bands like Slayer,Metallica,&Iron Maiden. Recommended for anyone who likes good music.

If you enjoyed Iron Maidens ''Number of the Beast'' and ''Killers''- There is no reason why you would not like this CD. Buy it

Unleashed in the East [Bonus Tracks]
I used to think Judas Priest was just another undynamic, radio friendly, generic rock/metal band ( Like Kiss, AC/DC, Aereosmith, Whitesnake, Great White Ect. )Until one day my friend had ''Green Manilishi'' Blasting on his stereo-(it was the vocal harmony part near the end) Then I heard ''Victims of changes'' I was in Awe. Rob Halford really has some deep feelings of things not going as he wanted them to!! ''Diamonds and Rust'' has some introspective lyrics and great melodies ('' we both know what memories bring, they bring diamonds and rust!'' )Awsome drumming, high toms, double bass, china cymbals ect. Recommended for any lover of good music
