    I Also Recommend:

The writing style of Mark del Franco captures the reader immediately and keeps them interested from start to finish.

I really liked this book and the characters in it -- from the main player of Connor Grey who is trying to deal with his newly limited abilities to the human police detective he works with to the "flit" named Joe who is quite a character himself. The setting is in Boston but the world has changed in that magic is accepted because faeries, trolls, druids, etc. live alongside humans. That sometimes causes problems as the fey police pick and choose what crimes they are interested in investigating, based on the political workings of the fey Guild. Their lack of interest necessitates that the human police are responsible for solving certain cases and those cases draw Connor Grey into them as a fey individual whose abilities, now limited by a backlash of power from a fey incident, are still an asset in assisting the human detective Murdock. I would recommend reading the first book in the series "Unshapely things" before this one. It gives one an foundation of who, what, why that makes this book that much more enjoyable.

    Another all-time favorite!

I just keep adding to my list. My nook is filling up quickly. How can you not be fascinated with a wounded Druid intent on saving the world regardless of the danger involved?

    Good Reads

Once you try the first one you'll be heading for the next. I had to slow down and branch out to keep from reading all thee in a single week.

They have some good characters and interesting plots. Solidly good reads. I'd recommend them to fantasy readers.

    more from this reviewer

    Great Urban fantasy novel

Again as in the first novel by Mark I read this because after all he is my cousin! I wasn't expecting much at first because the first novel in this series was a little slow and hard to follow. Not so in the sequel to this series. Mark's writing stlyle has become more polished and this was a read that kept me on the edge of my seat. Now that I'm familiar with the characters and history of convergent world it was easier to follow. If you enjoy Urban Fantasy you will definitely enjoy this book as Connor Grey struggles to deal with the limitations on his abilities and the beginning of a romance with a key character! Won't give it away here. I can hardly wait to start the 3rd novel and hope there will be more after that one!
