THE UNTETHERED SOUL is truly exceptional for its ability to simultaneously explain the nature of enlightenment while also providing simple, practical tools for attaining that exalted state. It lives up to its subtitle: "The Journey Beyond Yourself" by demonstrating how we are able to transcend worldly troubles by changing the way we view our lives. Just as we might notice that problems cannot be solved at the same level where they were created, there is great advantage in rising above the inner chatter and emotional storms to a peaceful, blissful state of mind we've all experienced... that can become our new core identity.

The big idea here is that by identifying ourselves as being observers who watch thoughts and feelings flowing through, we can keep our hearts open to love even (and especially) during times of crisis. This simple sounding concept of separating the part of us who thinks and feels and acts from the part of ourself who sees ourselves thinking and feeling and acting becomes extraordinarily liberating. The proof of the efficacy of this concept is immediately verifiable by readers willing to roll up their sleeves and start feeling the burn of releasing energies from the past, by taking this book as a workbook, and not merely an intellectual sourcebook.

At its core, THE UNTETHERED SOUL is a book about the energies of emotion. Readers are encouraged to recognize and appreciate the expansive experience of feeling love and joy, as well as the restrictive sensations we feel when guarding ourselves from potential pain or suffering. Just as a good athletic coach might guide us to start noting the difference between "good pain" and "bad pain" in order to achieve best athletic results, Singer teaches the value of recognizing the "good pain" that accompanies emotional release and the greatest resulting state of true spiritual happiness, joy and well-being.

Here is a book that has the power to completely transform your life to be free of stress, fear, and melodrama. This book is highly recommended for spiritual seekers everywhere, as well as those seeking emotional clarity in order to transcend the common human condition of pain of suffering. This is a book you will read and find yourself thinking about for years to come, hoping everyone else in your life will read it, too!

This is another one of those books that could have had it's point made in half the number of pages. It is painfully repetitive from page to page and chapter to chapter. The presentation of the material reads like one of those people who keeps repeating the same thing over and over just saying it in a different way. Some of the lines literally repeat. The wording sometimes feels like he's talking in circles and trying to write in a more sophisticated manner than he needs to and just doesn't come across as making sense. Some of the information I agree with however, most of it is just about the negative aspects in that he constantly describes scenarios of what is happening when you do or don't do something and never really gives any positive suggestion as to what to do about it or how. I was very disappointed overall in having spent money on the book.

This book is wonderful, I never though that to become more spiritual we need to get out of our limited mind set.
I have learned a lot from this book.  I am more happy with myself by just being in the moment in life and letting the energy of  life go through me.
Thank you very much Michael A. Singer. I also will like to know if this book is translated in Greek?

This book is liberating. Our minds can be like prisons playing a really awful movie over and over and over again. But you can be free of that and The Untethered Soul easily shows you how. Im a self help book fanatic and this is in my top 2 of life changing books Ive read. Short, life-changing read and worth every penny.

    Amazing - Truly Inspiring

I came upon this book after having broken up with a boyfriend and as a person who deals with major anxiety. This is truly a life changing book... I've learned so many things and am so excited to keep putting them into practice. You have to be an open person to truly accept all of the concepts but if you can do that, your life will forever be changed and you will be happier.

Great read! Probably better on audio

This is a great read for those going in turmoil now or to prepare for it in the future. The reading was a bit slow or maybe a bit on the repetitive side. It does help you to look at your inner core and not let the little things bother you. I know everyone tends to let their emotions and thoughts control their actions; however, it enlightens you to question yourself whether is it really worth to let emotions take control over us. If you read the paperback or ebook, be prepared to read slow. It is not a difficult read, just slow. I should have bought it on audio. I would recommend this book to a friend or buy as a gift to someone. Great book for reflecting on yourself.

A must read for anyone interested in the big question: Who am I?

A wonderful addition to books written about self awareness. Michael Singer keeps it simple yet profound. He offers insight into the chaos of the mind and offers answers to freedom from it.

Most cats above three moons may enter with the leaders permission inside there is a small leaf full of honey and the walls are painted with indians markings. Many a delicacies allign the walls a couple of jagged rocks used as shelves and small holes in the ground leading to the med cat and deputies den.

A Must Read to unleash your soul and potential in this life!

I purchased this book after seeing Michael Singer on Oprah's Super Soul Sunday. I'm only half way through this book and I highly recommend it for anyone struggling with who they are or what their purpose is. I've resorted to highlighting the passages that speak to me the most and found that also every chapter is in highlight. Michael Singer really breaks it down and makes the process so simple. When I follow the steps he outlines, my days can only be described as pure bliss. Once I finish this, I will definitely re-read and use this throughout my life, until I master letting go.

    Great read!

If you're into new age spirituality, this book is for you! I saw the author on Oprah's Sunday spirituality show on OWN and was fascinated by the discussion. Read it in two sittings.
