I will admit that when I first heard the title I was a little scared. I mean this is a book for YA and right off they hit you with the V word – Virgin. So I was ecstatic that I not only loved the story but I found the message behind it all very relevant to today’s teens and what they are dealing with.
When I was a teen (not too long ago of course) I was a member of the True Love Wait movement. So I really felt a connection to Val and how she dealt with her situation of speaking up about something a lot of people don’t agree with and even make fun of. Val is a strong female character and was able to hold her own against Kyle.
This book has such a good message for teens and it is presented in a very entertaining way. I know my teen daughter will enjoy it when I give her a copy for Christmas.

Good, clean, quick, worthwhile read!
Did I enjoy this book: I did enjoy this book. It was a good, clean story and a quick read that kept me interested.
V is for Virgin is well-written. I felt like I was there in the story...not just reading it. I was nodding my head in agreement. I was appalled at the right moments. I was giddy with the sweet moments. I was happily surprised at the unlikely moments. V is for Virgin has it all. There is some really witty dialogue and exchanges. Some of Val's comebacks to the "Virgin Val" nickname and other innuendo were laugh out loud funny. Furthermore, this story has a wonderful message - it is okay to wait to have sex. And that message is conveyed in a great way, not a beat-you-over-the-head-until-you-agree-with-me kind of way.
All of the characters are real and anyone can relate to them. Val is a sweet girl who has strong moral convictions and control over her life's choices. I think she is a great role model for teens. She doesn't give in to pressure from her boyfriend or her peers. She sticks to her guns and ends up making a difference in the lives of many other young adults. While her success with the "V is for Virgin" campaign and jewelry line is rather unlikely, you have to root for her and be proud of Val for her accomplishments.
The other characters were wonderful and added to the whole of the book. Kyle...bad boy, lead singer in a rock band...was a great counter for Val. The chemistry between them jumped off the page. You could feel the tension and heat between them. Isaac was an unexpected character. He is Mr. Popular and the head of the A-list crowd. He is the great boyfriend...there for Val supporting her along the way. And so sweet to her throughout the whole book. Zach kind of got a bad rap in this story...maybe more than he truly deserved. But, hey, that's high school.
Would I recommend it: I would recommend this book...especially to high school students, boys and girls.
Will I read it again: I can see picking this book up again at some point in the future.

I Loved this book!!!! I could not put it down. The words flowed easily from chapter to chapter. This book is a great read for adults and teens alike. I loved the message that it sends, I whole heartedly agree. :D
I loved the characters especially Val. I thought her banter with Kyle was too funny at times.
The plot had a lot to offer. There was witty banter, a Virgin with attitude, some typical men, romance, musicians, some unexpected occurrences and a great overall message.
I recommend this to every girl who likes to read. Guys could learn a thing or two from reading it also! This is one book that no one should miss!
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest opinion.

Personally, i appreciate addressing the fact that everyone is not doing it and those who choose not to are not cold fish. Those are two big misconceptions. Both sides of the issue is represented and the book let me think about other points.
I started out with serial hottie and fell in love with jamie baker. This did not disppoint.
