Full of entertainment!
The best Spenser novel in a long time! With Susan leaving he explores time with other women( which is good for him at the time). It's a great mystery novel of love, mystery, suspense, plenty of action, and of course Hawk by him every step of the way. I think the best part of the book were the ending chapters(awesome).I can't wait to read A Catskill Eagle to find out what happens between him and Susan. But I'm sure they will come togetheg again.

Hawk Takes The Lead
This is another Spenser and Hawk story set in Boston with much of it concentrated in the Back Bay section. It was written during a period when Spenser was heavily involved with Susan Silverman and, in this book, distracted by her absence. Spencer seems to stagger through the story while Hawk is always there to save him. Hawk is mentally and physically one step ahead of Spenser on this case. Judged as a whole , I found this to be one of Parker's best novels.

The best one ever
'I'm leaving tonight' is all it took to send Spenser spiraling into a tailspin of uncontrolable emotion, a torrid inner battle of love and hate. Susan, after her internship in Washington D.C, has met someone. Paul Giacomin comes to help him and intern leads him to a case of a missing dancer. Yes, Paul did become a dancer if you haven't caught up. This leads Spenser to investigate the Reorganized Church of the Redemption, a faction of Christianity. However, I cried when Spenser found someone else. When trying to save her from people trying to kill him, he got a painful flashback of Candy Sloan. Will someone explain who this girl is? I have never read a book with her in it, and it confuses me. But I digress. I am not a teenager, but I like to think that I have a sophisticated mind. This book has spurred enough emotion out of a twelve year old boy who most assume should be reading J.K Rowling that anyone will love it. This is one of the most powerful books I have ever read, and I am proud to have read it.
