    more from this reviewer

    I Also Recommend:

Highly predictable - and somewhat disappointing

While book 1 and 2 were similar to another Roberts series, book 3 feel right in line with the 3rd and final couple "gettig together." It was difficult to finish the book because it felt so similar to the other series but I forced myself to complete it. If you like variety in a read from an author - Roberts series would not be the way to go unless you like to know the outcome before it happens.

    not her best work

This book and this series is not her best work. She has to much going on in too many directions to make you care about the characters, a war or even if the main circle live. Her wonderful talent for building charachters you care about is not evident in this book. At one point I was cheering for a main charecters death just so the book would end.

    Dark

I usually read books pretty fast when I look forward to the story. I like the fantasy part, but there is alot of darkness and death in this. It took me a while to finish, because I didn't want to go back to the darkness of the book each time. It was written well, but too dark for me.
