I just turned 13 two weeks ago and for my age Anne Rice's books are considered "Adult Books" When I was smaller I never understood why my father raved about the vampire chronicles so much. I thought is was funny of him to do so and because I had never seen him actually read before. I remember when I was about six I seen Interview With The Vampire and I loved it. I became obsessed with the whole idea of the undead and because Brad Pitt made such an awsome vampire. About two months ago I was watching the movie and I kept thinking to myself I wonder how the author describe such sences. The next thing I knew I was walking into a book store and I picked it up. Of course my Aunt said she would not buy it for me because she thought I was too young. I didn't care I bought it anyway. It's a great book and so are the others. I suggest them to anyone who likes the movies. Hehe. It's a whole different thrill when you read them.

Some of my favorite books. Butttt, they end abruptly in the middle of dialog. As if to say, I got to page 1317 and the books not over but i cant get any further. Considering i paid for this book, and the small yet noticable grammer errors (which i can look past) well kinda just jacks me up that i cant finish the book properly. 5 stars to the story, 2 stars to who did the publishing.

has it taken anyone else a long time to get into this book, i was expecting alot more out of Anne Rice, but boy its almost like a history lesson! i do enjoy reading vampire books, i just couldnt mix history with vampire. Anyways i couldnt get past like the 1st 3 chapters, i went out and started a whole new series...lol. and im already into it! so i wish all who read this luck! i might try to reconsider reading them, but maybe when im wanting a history lesson or something, idk.
