    What a beautiful and important book for every child. If there is controversy in this, it is because we know as adults there is something inherently wrong with how we treat animals. Every living creature deserves love and every child knows that. We should encourage them to continue to feel that way as they grow up.

    A wonderful way to teach your child about living compassionately

    This book is an incredible work of art. It deftly manages to truthfully address difficult topics in a way that a child can understand and a parent can feel comfortable discussing. The illustrations are vivid and deeply honest and the text is expertly crafted. I hope that anyone with a young child will purchase this book and read it with their child.
