Too Much Fun!!
I love these Marcus Didius Falco mysteries. I just started to read them this year. In VENUS IN COPPER Falco, a sometime palace informer, is hired to investigate Severina Zotica, a lovely redhead whose husbands have a penchant for dying conveniently. Falco must see that her next potential husband will not meet the same fate as her previous ones. As usual he encounters some colorful characters including a parrot with a salty tongue and an exotic dancer, and as usual nothing is as it seems. Is Severina guilty or not? It¿s a rollercoaster rider and the ending is hilarious. Read it and weep -- with laughter. -- Leslie Strang Akers
