Do not buy
I read his first book and loved it, this bok is terrible. There is no content at all, Jose actually repeats stories three or four times. If you have not read juiced do so but save your money here, trust me.

Awesome!!!!!!!!!
You have to admire this guy honesty. Must of these MLP and millionaries think they are untouchable and better than anyone else. To be on that level and been honest at the same time, is a combination that we rarely see on this world. So good job José, by reading your book I can tell what a good human being you are. Thanks for your honesty and God Bless you and your family.

A must read for all baseball fans
The book Vindicated is one of the books that Jose Canseco has written along with Juiced. The publisher is Simon & Schuster Inc. and the copyright date is April 2008. This book was written after his book Juiced. In Vindicated he talks about some things that had happened in Juiced and several things about steroids in general. Jose Canseco writes this story about himself in the first person. He is of course the main character. Canseco is a sage and intelligent man for the stunts he pulled, but is also very careless for getting fined for using steroids. Before he took them and got himself into it he researched the topic and went to professionals who had used them before. He was foolish to think that they would work right away and he was told that. Canseco had to be patient and that wasn't one of the things he was best at. He wasn't foolish though when it came to interviews and the two lie detector tests that he took. Jose answered truthfully and didn't cause any trouble. All Jose Canseco wanted was to be the best player in the MLB. The book is about how he went from not taking steroids to taking steroids and how he got to taking them, learning about them and teaching about them to and from different people. He also injected multiple people in the MLB with steroids including Mark McGwire, Rafael Palmeiro, Juan Gonzalez, Ivan Rodriguez, Dave Martinez, Magglio Ordonez, and a few more people that he talked about in Juiced. I liked this book because it is about baseball and I like sports. It is a very interesting book because of the main plot of the story. It has its boring and interesting parts like most books but overall it is very good. Instead of just all talk going on paragraph after paragraph the book is broken up a couple times with interviews or lie detector tests which pulls you in to the situation. "So, just to be really clear, you're going to say that you injected Mark McGwire- Jose: Absolutely. (pg. 107)" Through reading this novel Vindicated by Jose Canseco I learned that you should always watch what you do because you can get in trouble and fined a bunch of money for doing some little stupid thing. I also learned to try your best because even though you're not good at something doesn't mean that you can't get any better. And lastly you can't be the best at everything. I would recommend this book to mainly baseball players or anyone who wants to learn about steroids or people who have used it that are in the MLB or that were once in it. It was interesting at some points but boring at others just like all books.

Very Insightful
Every time that I use to see Jose Canseco on TV, he struck me as arrogant and someone that really didn't love the game of baseball. I always thought that his selfishness would be the downfall of his career. After reading Vindicated, his motives were a lot better than I thought. Although I don't agree with his reasons for taking steroids and other performance enhancing drugs, to me his credibility increased. He said that he wanted to become the best player that he could ever be because that's what the fans want. I respect that. It's a whole lot better than other players out there lying today saying that someone must have accidentally shot me with a needle. Canseco's book was very insightful, he finally brought light do a very dark situation in the sport. He revealed names like Sammy Sosa, Barry Bonds, and Alex Rodriguez, that I bet most of the country was under suspicion of. This book made me see Canseco as a much better person. He said when people believed he made the book for good reasons and not just money, it made him feel more vindicated. I believe that it should make him feel that way because he deserves it. Vindicated gave me a better understanding about how bad the steroid use is in baseball. I'm glad that Jose decided to step up and do something about it. Even thought there is a lot more to do to fix the problem, getting it out there is a good start.

Great Read, However...
Jose Canseco is a undoubtably talented and personable baseball hero. He is also very truthful by admitting that he did do steroids. He is also trying to save baseball by pointing out the real frauds, 'even though we know who they are', However ther is one point that I think Cansaco missed, A_Rod did not take Steroids. He is basing his accusations about A-Rod on pure speculations. That was the only place that he missed, but still, great read.

the truth
it takes a real man to admit to his actions whether they are right or wrong. canseco has become a reliable source for the truth as well as a person that can be counted on to do what is right in regards to this current situation. i have always enjoyed watching canseco perform what he loved to do. he was and will always be a great baseball player no matter how he got to where he is. steroids cant and dont do it all one must still have the desire and dedication to be successful. steriods did not make the man-jose cancseco made the man.
