    Amazing!

In response to the notion that some of the patterns are impractical for the modern baby; read the title "VINTAGE BABY KNITS." Also, cloth diapering has come back into vogue. I actually bought this book for the soaker pattern alone. I absolutely fell in love with not only the resulting soaker but also with other pieces I ended up knitting. Perhaps this book is best suited for those with a little bit more knitting experience and classic tastes.

    Love this beautiful book!

This book is wonderful! The photography is gorgeous and the ideas are so beautiful. The honeycomb blanket is worth the price alone!

    Fascinating history + adorable patterns

I highly enjoyed reading this book. I can't wait to make a lot of these patterns. This book also serves as an introduction to vintage knitting history. The resources section in the back on modifying other vintage patterns is exceptionally helpful; often when I come across a vintage pattern the yarn is obsolete and conversion information practically nonexistent. Not only do I have a great knitting book but also a newfound interest in vintage knitting. Plus all the patterns are for babies who are (obviously) small, which is great for people like me who have short knitting attention spans!

    Excited to Start Knitting

I bought this simply for the honeycomb blanket for a baby gift. However, I will have to try a few more patterns once I've finished the blanket.

    don't bother.

The cover photo is charming and that's about it. Some of the knitting projects are bizarre--knitted soakers p.26 p.86 ???? they look like knitted shorts/diaper type thing--ugly and silly. Why bother including something so impractical for today's baby. Some of the sweaters look so poorly designed--p 104, sailor sweater and girl's cape p.96. In the photos, they look badly made. One sweater is cute--felix cardigan (cat motif). I'm not happy with the book.
