Objectivist Civilization Fantasy
SciFi is the background although a strong one. Objectivism, Ayn Rand style is the foreground.

Hogan portrays a civilization of people who were raised by machines. They were not indoctrinated in traditional ideas by their parents. Their civilization is not mired by old fashioned ideas about government, religion, power or relationships.
When a ship from Earth arrives at Chiron a clash of cultures ensues. The way Hogan portrays the confrontation of ideas is entertaining and thought provoking.
Of all the fantasy civilizations I have read about, this is the one I'd most like to visit. -
