Highly Recommended - one of my absolute favourite scanimation books
This is one of six books in the Rufus Butler Seder scanimation series. It is one of his first books along with Gallop, Kick and Swing. Two new additions to the series are Star Wars and Wizard of Oz. I expect there will be other movie themed books as these are particularly entertaining. This scanimation book is one of my favourites as it contains brightly coloured scanimation pictures (10 in total) with basic text appearing next to the picture, for example, "can you waddle like a penguin?" with a waddling scanimation picture "moving" next to the text. The pictures move by opening and closing the book carefully. A bit like the flicker books you used to get where you can move a man or a horse by flicking several pictures of the man/horse to get them to move but scanimation is alot classier. These books are great for children and adults who are young at heart.

Scanimation ... a whole new way for kids to learn to love books.
This book absolutely delighted my grandkids and I couldn't stop flipping through the pages myself.

Lots of fun
My 2 year old grandson was enthralled by the moving pictures. It's a winner!

Also, it is quite sturdy, so it should last a long time as busy fingers peruse the pages of the book. -

Fun Book For Little Ones!
This book is so much fun. My 3yo loves making the animals "run" across the pages. It's a great book for him to "read" to himself.

Captivating!
This little book will be a favorite of young and old alike. The animation is extraordinary. My 2 yr old grandson loves to hop, jump and slither like the animals in the book. Good one to give and share.

Great for sharing with the busy minds and hands of young children!
This is the third in the series (Swing, Gallop) that I've purchased to share with grandchildren ages 7, 5 and 3. They are fascinated with the "magical" movement on each page and like to look at the books over and over. The ending of this book (Waddle) was attention-grabbing for them. Fun for sharing!

Great for Grandchildren
My four grandchildren loved this book. One of them memorized it right away (she's five) and she would 'read' it to the others who would act out the action in the book. It is very probably the one book that got her started on reading, which she picked up shortly afterward.
