Not Just 'For the Fat Girls!'

Spend 20 minutes with Camryn, and you won't be able to put this book down. 20 minutes every day for a week, and you'll fall in love. By the time you've finished, this book is sure to be THE birthday, holiday, 'just because I need to share' gift you'll be giving to family and friends for years to come. I know, I've already bought 3 extra copies! Not only for 'all the fat girls,' Manheim has written an hysterically funny, poignant, and oh-so-honest portrait for anyone who feels on the outside -- of society and of themselves -- wishing for belonging and self-worth. With an insider look into drama schools, movie & TV production, and a trip to the Emmy Awards you'll never forget, this book is sure to make you laugh out loud, sniff back a tear or two, and root like mad for the underdog. If it's possible to consider someone you've never even met a close friend, then Camryn Manheim has become one of mine. Too bad I'm a gay man, Camryn, 'cause I'da filled out page 117-118 in a second! Enjoy!

    EVERYONE MUST READ THIS BOOK!!

I could not put this book down. Camryn Manheim's confidence and wit lifted my spirits and self esteem. I found myself laughing aloud throughout the book. It is a hilarious and insightful look into the world of being fat and/or not being accepted in society. Well worth your time and money.

I made all my friends read it!!

This is one of my all time favorit books!! I love the way Camryn would speak her mind about ANYTHING. And I think the conversations that she has with her fat are hilarious!! I love the way she never gave up on life and the way she tells her stories, it makes you want to wish you were there too, to help kick some butt with her!! I envy her and her magnificent life! I hope she writes another book!!

This Truely Is For All The Fat Girls

My body is not what you would call...the Norm. I am teenager, and thus my self-esteem is frequently on the brink of crashing down all around me. Or at least, that is how it was before I read this book. It really bulit upon my fragile ego so that I am no longer the 'quiet, shy, fat girl', and instead have taken the role of 'powerful, inspirational, fat girl'. I love the book and love Miss Manhiem for her portayal of reality. Thank you Camryn.

    EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE ONE!!!

CAMRYN HAS WRITTEN A BOOK THAT SPEAKS FOR EVERYONE. EVERYONE WANTS TO BE LOVED AND ACCEPTED FOR WHAT THEY HAVE TO OFFER. WITHOUT BEING JUDGED BY APPEARANCE OR DIFFERENCES. BEING A BIG BEAUTY ALL MY LIFE I COULD SO RELATE TO EVERYTHING CAMRYN WROTE ABOUT ON THE ROAD TO SELF-ACCEPTANCE. WITH EVERY PAGE I READ AND EVERY HILL CAMRYN CLIMBED; I FELT HER PAIN. THE PAIN FROM BEING PERSECUTED FOR YOUR WEIGHT IS ALWAYS RIGHT AT THE SURFACE. EVEN THOUGH I HAVE BEEN MARRIED FOR 12 YEARS TO A MAN THAT LOVES ME AT ANY WEIGHT. I STILL AM TRYING TO LOVE MYSELF. CAMRYNS' BOOK EMPOWERS US ALL TO TAKE A HOLD OF OUR DESTINY AND NOT LET ANYONE STAND IN THE WAY. YOU GO GIRL!!!

This book was a refreashing view on life. I found it great to find someone so secure about themselves to write a book like this. Camryn really seems to have benifited from writing this book, and I definately benefited from reading it. It gave me new how hope for gaining confidence in myself the way I am. I loved this book!!!!
