    Twisted

I enjoyeed this 2nd Janek book better than "Switched"...it delved more into the killers mind & the story unfolded more smoothly which made it more suspenseful & def more twisted. The only minor disappointment if u read Switched was this book never explained what happened to Janeks love affair but a very minor point in the whole scheme

    Another fascinating mystery

Janek is a reliable character and William Bayer comes up with really imaginative plot lines.

The "Janek Series" (too short IMHO) has made me ...

The "Janek Series" has made me a huge W.B. fan. I wasn't ready to make that concession early on after reading "Switch" & enjoying it so much, but I felt "Wallflower" was even better. Bayer's reader-friendly writing style grabs your attention & never releases it. His choice here to switch from Janek in the 1st person present to the killer in the 1st person past & back again to Janek for the "finale" was brilliant, kept the storyline coherent from start-to-finish & made for a very quick read.

It pains me to read again that the "Janek Series" (way too short IMHO) ends w/"Mirror Maze" & personally I think W.B. should reconsider his position.

    Interesting character and series.....

Both Switch and Wallflower are engrossing stories told by an author who has the inate ability to really ' sell' a very different character supported by an intriguring supporting cast. Detective Janek's finely tuned sensitity to see into the protaginists mind and to use what he senses within to bring some form of justice to resolving right rates a solid four star
rating four rating for both books.
