Hilarious

My four year old and I read this in the store and it was hilarious. After we left the store it was all he talked about. So I bought it and we read it all the time. It is a sweet and funny story about a farting dog. The kids love him, but no matter what he eats he farts. The dad tells them to get rid of the dog. But then burglars come into the house and his farts run them off - he is a hero! Great story!

Great kids book!

This one is laugh-out-loud funny. Kids and grown-ups will enjoy this story over and over again. Readers will love Walter and his special talent that helps to save the family's valuables. Walter is a hero!

Annoying Book

First off, I have no problem with the topic of this book being about farts. My problem is that the story seems to just drag on, the illustrated characters are completely creepy -especially the burglars who break into the house in the middle of the night! I'm suppose to read this to my child at bed time so that he can have nightmares about men coming through our windows at night!?! I really cannot stand this book and I don't think it is appropriate at all for small children! Not funny and not entertaining.

For anyone who has ever had or known a smelly dog, this book is for you! I gave it to my mom for Christmas and we thought it was so funny that my family reads it every year on Christmas day. It is funny for children and adults alike.

This is a wonderful book for both children and adults. I can highly recommend this book for reading before bed, around the table, or just about anywhere. It is a great book to cheer you up when you are sad, and just plain old fun for the whole family.

The story lines are funny, and children can really understand the characters from a child and dog's perspective.

I bought this book for my nephew & he loves it! Anything about farting is always fun for kids.

What a hoot!

Although this is classified as a children's book, every adult who has read it loves it. It's a hilarious way of talking about a subject that everyone tries to avoid.

Very Cute and FUNNY!!

The story is funny! If you don't appreciate "fart" humor, don't waste your time. It's a cute story and works out well in the end. It is suppose to be a kid's book, but all the adults we've given a copy to have enjoyed it immensely. We're all a bunch of kids anyway, right? ... we're just big kids!

Too Funny for Words

I actually bought this for my husband - it's a great ice-breaker book in his office. A friend has these books in his office and that's how I found out about them. Any man who passes gas (which would be a lot of guys out there) would get a kick out of these books.

Kids think they're funny, too. Our daughter thinks they're hysterical.

Slightly crude, but precious

I have read this to my preschool group of children and we had all a lot of fun. The tales of Walter and his small problems made for a lot of hard laughing for the whole hour. Some might find it somehow crude, but please just take it easy and look at Walter's facial expressions - they are just precious...

A different kind a book, for older kids, but equally precious is "Why Some Cats are Rascals". I got the first book in this series for my 10 years old sun for Christmas. Beautiful cover, great stories!

Funny and Original

I first saw the book and didn't think I'd like it. As it turns out, it's funny and original. My sons like it, too. In the end, Walter finds his calling.

My 4 nieces and nephews LOVED this book (ages 11 to 4). They couldn't believe somebody would write about farting.

So funny! My three kids loved it!

People who LOVE living and laughing...

I can honestly say this book is one of the many I will NEVER refuse my child of viewing or enjoy reading along together. Although this book does not address using manners when things 'arise' it has helped my son (2 1/2) to become more familiar with his body functions. This book series combines strong humor with a sense of learning at a 'less' mature level. Even the most stubborn reviewers know they want to laugh! Laughter is the secret of longevity!
