I totally recommend espically if you want courage in life.

I have enjoyed reading the book espically because I need courage with the difficult situation that I was deign in life. It gave me the courage to cont to fight and Gina a will to live. I love the christian aspect that Holly puts on the book.

Good quick read that picks you up!

Was inspired and reminded I can overcome! Quick read that works as a devotional. Reminds you that you have purpose and need to fight for the right things in life.

    more from this reviewer

    motivational

I was a bit discouraged by the previous review when I read it, as I am purchasing this for my Nook. I already have a copy of this I keep in my nightstand. I enjoy it so much when I am feeling a little low and need a pick me up. Warrior Chicks sometimes need that when the daily battle gets them down! I love the bright, cheery pink and the sword on the cover too. I don't believe this book is supposed to be alot of "meat". It does encourage me to look into and study different people mentioned in greater depth. I in fact recommended this to my pastors wife just yesterday. We were conversating on "the older woman", and it just hit home with our conversation. I love this book, and think that Holly Wagner is a great woman of faith!

Light and Fluffy - not what I expected

The author does make some good points and reference scripture to support her "cheerleading," but I was hoping for a meal and got an appetizer instead. There is a LOT of whitespace and it's loaded with short sentences or fragments that make up a paragraph. The conversational style is extremely easy to read, but I felt that she didn't have enough "meat" to fill a whole book, so she tried to make it appear longer. As a teacher, I see students writing real BIG and leaving lots of space on papers... so that may have influenced the way I saw it. However, I didn't get much out of this book.
