    Horrible writing

Can' t read another page. Made it to page 61. I agree, compared with the books before this one, the writing is horrible and the main character is not the same. They are overdoing the attraction angle between the characters and the main character Annja is much less insightful and confident. In some of the initial conversations she actually comes off sounding like a stupid American. In the earlier books she is anything but that. Too bad that a good series up till now maybe ruined. There is alot to be said for sticking with the same writers.

    Recommended! JAPAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really enjoyed the book. I love Japan and was really excited to read a Rogue Angel adventure that took place there. Loved how it began but by the end I was wishing for more.

    Brilliant!

I absolutely loved this book. My friend told me about the series and I happened to read this one first after she gave me the background on the main character and her 500 year old acquaintances. Japanese history has always fascinated me as has martial arts and this author did a fantastic job of representing this culture. There was quite the mystical element mixed within and I adored Annja and the leading man of this book Ken. This author is the best thing since Nora Roberts!
