captivating and informative

I found this book well writen, it captured my attention and held it all the way through, Ms. Spencer gives us indepth knowledge of the caracters and insight to who they were. She paints a vivid picture of the drug filled life they led and how it all went terribly wrong.

Tragic Story of Sex, Drugs, Abuse and Murder

I thought "Wasted" was well researched and written. I didn't want to put it down. The details of each event were such that I could visualize them as I read the chapter. A Real Life tragedy told by an outstanding writer. I would reccomend this book to anyone.

    Compelling story very poorly written

Interesting story better told by someone else ...or for that matter anyone else.
It was so poorly written. It was hard to follow. It seemed out of sequence somehow
and her overall style of writing was like that of a high school student. The story had huge holes all the way through it.

Good read, but missing a few key facts...

While this may be a good read, it is not the entire truth. I went to highschool at LT with Kim and am friends with some people that ran with Justin when he worked at Worlds Gym in Oak Hill. While it makes for a good book to make Kim look all innocent, she is far from it and should be in that cell with Justin at the very least! I hope she has nightmares about what she caused since she ended up ending one life and ruining another.

    Really Sad

Regina Hartwell is a little girl lost. Kim LeBlanc uses that to her advantage. When she decides she doesn't want to be a lesbian but she likes all the things Regina buys her, she turns to her drug dealing boyfriend to get Regina off her back. The story grabs you from the begining and doesn't let go, it's a good read. And the end will make you sick. If you ask me Kim should be rotting in prison right next to Justin.

'Lake Travis High School' I go there! That is scary!!

As a student at Lake Travis high school I am scared to know that this girl who knew about a crime went to my school and walked down the hall that I now walk down. That was kind of scary. A lot of teachers at Lake Travis get freaked out when I would talk to them about it because alot of them taught Kim Derrick LeBlanc and really paniced when they heard what book I was reading and asked me not to read it and now many classmates all over the school campus are reading the book. The teachers all think it is wrong that I brought that book on campus and showed it to students. So..... the whole school now knows who that popular cheerleader really is.

Could have been more thorough, but it is not your fault.

It is amazing how things seem to be covered up. Many people are yet to hear the true story of what happened during the last few days of Gina's life. For instance, most people never heard of her friend, Brian, who Gina had planned on moving in with until Brian let Jeremy's friend Michael move in. Nor did we hear of how Justin threatened Gina with the murder weapon in front of Brian, having Gina retaliate by threatening back with the such mentioned murder weapon. Nor was there mention of intruders to Gina's apartment, following a police search of evidence. There is so much left unturned. Could the story be much deeper and much more insane? Yes it is. Good luck on your next venture, Suzy. I am sure you gave it your best......
