"Weather Forecasting" gives a comprehensive view of how weather information is reported and recorded and what instruments are used when putting a weather forecast together. Gail Gibbons does some of her best work and puts a lot of effort in her book as she's offered full color illustrations and easy-to-understand words and sentences that children will understand, but is specfic at the same time. The book features weather forecasts for most of the seasons and includes adjectives describing words for each season. However, opperations have probably changed since this book was published in 1987 but gives a good outline about what is happening in the National Weather Service and in weather stations around the world. This was an awesome book!
