An Ideal Guide to Web Technology

WEB On-The-Go is a great reference guide to understanding the components of communication technology including wireless. This would be a useful guide to introducing the internet and wireless technology to those who are unfamiliar.

Bala Sankar's WEB On-The-Go provides elaborate details and notable quotes from prominent people throughout history, such as John F. Kennedy to motivate readers on becoming more innovative and nurturing of creativity. Sankar hopes to cultivate inspiration throughout.

However, it is more an informative manual on the growth spurt of technology's history within the last 50 years, specifically mobile technology. Additionally, Sankar does his best to provide detailed examples of how internet on-the-go can be applied to improve our modern lives.

Good read to learn more about technology and its meaning to the future

Want to know more about the Google Android Mobile Phone or Leonardo da Vinci's take on machines? Then 'Web On-The-Go' is the book for you. "Only innovation creates wealth" states Bala Sankar in his book, and that is the focal point of 'Web On-The-Go's' message. Innovators who pursue opportunities and ideas based upon the wireless web are the one's who will turn the economy around. This book contains an overview of all web based technology from the internet to GPS systems and does a good job illustrating why these technologies are so important and vital to our world and future.

The book reads somewhat like a text book, with a lot of quotes from a lot of people most readers will not be familiar with. However, the quotes make salient points and help to prove by agreement Sankar's hypothesis. The fact that the books target audience consists of engineers, scientists and technologists who should be familiar with the names mentioned should also be noted. The book also contains mini biographies on Leonardo da Vinci, Arthur C. Clarke and JFK; looking at them from a different perspective, which proves to be interesting and educational reading.

Sankar provides readers with a lot of current and up-to date information such as the fact that "The U.S. Congress recently put aside $4.7 billion in order to establish a Broadband Technology Opportunities Program."

'Web On-The-Go' is a good book for people who want to know about the world of technology and keep up with the inner workings of the world. It is a good read for those interested in careers and knowledge that is based on an acute and in-depth understanding of the web. From MID, to SSD, to HDD, to Wimax, readers of the book will be educated on computer and technology lingo that may have been foreign to them.
