This is a great guide book that I've ever read concerning weddin
This is a great guide book that I've ever read concerning wedding planning & etiquette. It covers things like traditional wedding ceremonies and more modern and up-to-date styles and themes. Most of the other books that I looked into when helping to plan my oldest sister's wedding only included the more traditional stuff so it was nice to find a modern approach to weddings in this book. The amount of information that you get from this book is impressive. It helps me with proper invitations, the right kinds of gifts, the right clothing (for the bride, groom and guests), proper etiquette before, during, and after the ceremony, receptions and on and on. It even gives some good advice regarding budgeting for your wedding and getting the most out of everything.

Very concise and informative
Wedding Etiquette 101 helps you learn the proper etiquette for planning your wedding. It throws in some modern elements as well as your more traditional ones, which is not always the case with some wedding books and was refreshing to see. It explains the ins and outs of who should pay for what; how to properly use invitations, including how to word and address them, and giving recommendations of things to add to help people find the venue or information about the wedding; the proper way to go about asking for gifts, and how to fill out thank you notes for gifts; rehearsal and reception dinner etiquette; what the proper attire is for all sorts of wedding types; how to deal with religious differences between the bride and groom; and even the exit strategy for making your get-away at the end of the night. Wedding Etiquette 101 is very thorough and concise. It compacts a lot of information into a small book, giving you all the necessities without making you wade through a lot of unnecessary information. If you're looking for a quick, down and dirty guide to let you know the do's and don't's of wedding etiquette, this book is your guide.

Buy This Book
One of our ushers has a scruffy beard and always seems in need of a haircut. He's a wonderful person, but how do we ensure he's properly clipped and styled for our big day?
Just as you wouldn't dismiss a bridesmaid who has gained 10 pounds, you can't force your usher to adopt different personal grooming habits for your wedding. Yes, it can be worrisome to think that one attendant might stand out among the others. But give the guy some credit.
The burden of paying for the wedding has shifted in recent years from the shoulders of the father of the bride, to include the groom's family. Also, with many couples marrying later and having money of their own, they are sharing in the expenses.
If someone hasn't responded to your invitation, 1 week past the "Reply by" date, call him or her and confirm over the phone.
These tips are helpful but to receive complete and comprehensive information, ONLY this book "Wedding Etiquette 101" will give you the needed knowledge to do the right thing at your wedding ---great book!1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.
