    A most useful book!

I saw this book on display at the library, checked it out, and ordered a copy of my own that night. Although it is arranged as a planner for vegetable gardening activities throughout the year, for me its greatest value is the wealth of information -- thousands of tips, warnings, solutions for problems, detailed drawings of how to do things, etc. On top of this, the authors' lively, friendly, often humorous writing style makes the book a delight to read. I keep a little notebook handy to jot down page numbers of particularly useful ideas I want to revisit and perhaps try out. A true treasure to own if you have any interest in growing good things to eat in whatever size plot or containers!
