Kate and her group of Bunco Babes enjoy an active life in the retirement community of Serenity Cove, SC. Their weekly Bunco dice game, shopping, and golf keep these ladies enjoying life. They are also great fans of the CSI TV show, but when they find a human arm in a Wal-Mart bag on the golf green, the forensic fun comes a little too close to home. Kate tries to 'help' the Sheriff, but he's not 'listening' to her suggestions, so Kate enlists the Bunco Babes to do some investigating themselves.

This is a cute cozy filled with feisty women. There is lots of fun with intelligent connections with many things that most of us are familiar with, like CSI. If you are of 'a certain age' , or are related to family and friends of 'that certain age', you will especially enjoy this cozy! -

Whack 'n' Roll rolls out a funny tale
This was a fun book to read. If it were a movie it's what my hubby would refer to as a "chick flick". Just when you think you have the plot figured out it twists & turns away from you.

This is a real "who done it" mystery with a little hint of romance thrown it.
I can't wait for her next installment of the Bunco Babesw mystery to come out! -
Retirement community sleuths!
Serenity Cove Estates sounds like a great place to retire. Kate and her pals golf and play Bunco to pass the time but when they discover an arm without a torso in the course of a round of golf, detecting becomes their new hobby. The Bunco Babes are a spirited mix of women of a certain age who deliver lots of fun.

is a delightful amateur sleuth tale
Serenity Cove Estates in South Carolina is a senior citizens housing development and home to the Bunco Babes, retirees who play Bunco twice a month. They are good friends and keep active. While playing golf, Kate McCall's ball rolls into a rough patch filled with bushes. When she goes to retrieve her errant shot, she finds a Wal-Mart bag with a severed arm inside.
They call the sheriff who takes over the investigation, but Kate snoops around trying to help the law catch the perpetrator. Kate notices that her neighbor Rosalie Brubaker has not been seen in a while. Her husband Earl who grows orchids like a hippie says they had a fight and she left to see their children. Other body parts are found in the state park and at the recreation center. An anonymous phone caller to the sheriff insists that Earl is the killer and the murder weapon is in his house. Kate believes Earl is not the killer and has quite a few alternative suspects with motives to murder Rosalie, but finding proof could prove deadly.
This is a delightful amateur sleuth starring a protagonist who advises the sheriff giving him clues while hoping he will share his findings with her. She and the Bunco Babes are a close knit group who has each other's back like the Musketeers so Kate has a powerful geriatric support group. The spunky Kate and her BFFs are filled with so much energy that people half their age will admire them. Gail Oust provides a complex whodunit starring a cast of eccentric sexagenarians.
