What Was I Scared Of?: A Glow-in-the-Dark Encounter

Holds children's attention.

I teach in LAUSD and this book is great for elementary school kids up to about third grade. They all seem to love it.

Nice story, but can't read it in the dark.

This story is super cute and my kids like it a lot. However, I hadn't even thought about how I was going to take advantage of the glow in the dark feature until I got it home. Unless you memorize the story, it is impossible. Using a flashlight or a low lamp, the figures do not glow well. Without a flashlight or lamp, it is impossible to see the words.

The Pale Green Pants with nobody inside them?

I love this story, my mom use to tell it to us when I was a kid it was my favorite. She had it memorized and I did not know it was a dr. Suess book until I was in my 20's and asked her what the name of the story was and who it was by. It is a shame this one is not better known by Suess readers.
