Every pregnant mom should read this book

I had no idea that I would be a person not have my son circumcised until I read this book. There is no way I could take away such a vital part of his body. In fact, I am even going to buy an extra book and donate it to the library.

    Great Book!

I bought this book yesterday from our local book store. Its a light paperback and a very easy read- written for the layperson. It also does not contain any photos of circ. In fact, there are no photos at all- just 2 or 3 pencil drawings showing the difference between the end result of various circ methods and one of a non-circ'd infant penis. 'What...not tell you about Circumcision' covers many common subjects talked about regarding circumcision amongst family and friends, but in more depth. Chapters include how circs are done, caring for the intact and circ'd penises, things your doctor may tell you about your intact son and what to reply, and much more. One of my favorite parts of the book is about the history circumcision - how it got to be where it is today- why and how doctors could force mass, universal circ on newborn boys and not be challenged; who the big promoters of circ were and are and what and why they said what they did. Maybe most important of all is the section about where the medical reasonings came from and why- i.e. AIDS, cancer, infections, UTI's- who said what and why and what ELSE did they promote about circumcision but which is conveniently left out by circ supporters today because they are no longer socially acceptable..... To sum it up, I think this book is a real eye-opener! I highly recommend it.
