Best food book of the year!

This book changed my life. I always thought you had to be a professional sommelier in order to pair food and wine 'or other beverages', but this book makes the process as easy as looking up a word in the dictionary. It is the perfect beverage book for food lovers, and the perfect food book for wine lovers. Everyone I've given it to as a gift has loved it and can't stop thanking me for it!

    Highly recommended.

I do a lot of catering, this book helps me out a lot, especially when the clients don't want wine or cocktails with their party. Wish I had bought this book a couple of years ago.

Great book for food & wine pairing

This book is divided into two sections - One lists foods in alphabetical order and provides a variety of suggested beverage options. The other section lists beverages in alphabetical order and provides suggested foods to pair with them. It includes other beverages such as beer in addition to wines. I keep it handy and refer to it often and have also purchased as a gift for friends and family.

I love this book and think it is fantastic! I received this book

I love this book and think it is fantastic! I received this book as a gift when I first started to explore the world of food and wine pairing and I still use it as a reference now and then. I have even brought it out for friends to look through durring dinner parties or when they mention being confused over what beverages to serve or consume with dinner. It is easy to use and even goes beyond wine to include other beverages such as tea, beer, sparkling water and soda. Great reference!

    Perfect Pairing Reference

This book is exactly what I was looking for - an easy to read, well-organized reference to help me learn more about food and wine pairing. I've bought two additional copies as gifts and both recipients raved about it too.

This is the book I've been looking for since learning to cook!

While I love cooking, I was hesitant about entertaining since I never knew which wine to serve with the dishes I made. My local wine store seemed to recommend wines that were what they wanted to sell more than what went with what I told them I was cooking that night. WHAT TO DRINK WITH WHAT YOU EAT makes it easy to look up what to serve with almost any dish imaginable. And just as helpful, I can look up any bottle of wine I receive as a gift and get ideas for what to serve with it. I'm also happy to have new options to serve to my non-drinking guests beyond flat or sparkling water!
