To the anonymous readers who "one starred" the short story, didn't you enjoy it, short as it is? Those of us who love Debbie Macomber and buy her books buy a good read, and all the hope in the world of romance. I live on the most limited of incomes, yet I don't begrudge 99 cents for 27 pages. I can't even buy a cup of coffee for 99 cents, and the coffee, while momentarily tasty, gives me no lasting pleasure. I agree with sand7s: five stars, and I can't wait to get the book! Go Debbie, and thanks for all the pleasure and happiness you have brought to me over the years. Your pages are worth every penny of my 99 cents! Your forever fan, DanicahDH

I am new to ordering books and I didn't realize just how short a short story would be! I am a huge Macomber fan and I will be purchasing The Inn at Rose Harbor but wish I hadn't spent the money on this.

    Typical Debbie Macomber..awfully short

A nice enough story, to set up her new book, but SO short..it should've been free.
I got the sample of the new book but decided not to bother with it.
Is probably worth it if you are a huge fan, or for back story for the new book..pretty disappointing, actually.

    Short but good

I expected this to be a bit longer than it was. However it did provide the details of how Jo and Paul met which are not fully covered in the book The Inn at Rose Harbor.

    Short and sweet

Wish it was longer, although I did read "The Inn At Rose Harbor"

12 pages of actual story, but I teared up a few times

Really good, too short. I love Debbie's writing, I own several of her paperbacks and have loved everyone of them. This one was just too short, would have made a great novel. GJRA
