Every cancer patient and their loved ones should read this book

My sister gave me this book last year when I was going through chemo for a recurrence of colon cancer. Lynn Eib, herself a colon cancer survivor, has written a wonderful book full of stories about some of the people she has met through her work as a patient advocate in her oncologist's office. As in life, not all of these stories end the way we would hope; however, they all provide inspiration and valuable life lessons. The book is powerful, and comforting at the same time. I have given this book to people I know who have/had cancer, and referred it to quite a few others. It is written from a cancer point of view, but anyone who is dealing with a serious illness or difficulty of any kind will find something that speaks to them. Everyone I know who has read it has been blessed by it. I also recommend Lynn Eib's other books. She feels like a friend I've never met.

    Hope is a positive attitude!

How inspirational Lynn is. My friend in NE went to a book signing and had Lynn sign 'When God & Cancer Meet' for me and Lynn wished me 'always believe that God will meet your deepest needs.' Having been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 2003 and participating in one trial after another, I have always had a great attitude and that is what people remark about the way I deal with cancer. My positive attitude comes from my strong belief and hope and trust in the Lord that He will always be there for me. I have no doubt.

    Comforting and Inspirational

This book is great to see how others deal with cancer and the issue of dying from cancer. It opened my eyes on what more there is to life and that I'm not alone in my walk with cancer.

Good Strong Medicine for cancer patients from someone 'who's been there'!

I am a malignant melanoma survivor, given a 10% chance of surviving past 10 years, back in March 1985. I had plastic, thoracic and abdominal surgeries and 9 months of IV chemotherapy from March 1985 thru 1993, and have been cancer-free since then. I say this because the author of, 'When God & Cancer Meet', Lynn Eib,is like a Spiritual sister to me. We have never met, but she has written and shared so many lessons and sources of strength, that I was blessed with during my 'days in battle' with cancer. Thanks Lynn Eib, Tyndale House Publishers, and to Barnes & Noble for showing me this great, helpful, inspiring book!!

    the best of the best

One of the best books i've read that the author knew exactly what i was feeling and could relate to while going through my own cancer journey--unles you've been there others really don't know what goes through your mind when facing cancer

    A very moving book

This is a must read for anyone who is touched by cancer. My father is terminally ill with cancer and it was very encouraging for me to read about others experiences and the spiritual challenges they faced.
