I got this out of curiosity after seeing Molly on the Today Show and was happy to find that it's a fantastic book. The characters pulled me in right away, especially Greta and her situation (no spoilers). I really loved how the stories connected, and the characters would show up again but in the background or you'd see new different sides of them. Everything was very honest and real, both the bad and the good. I guess it's no surprise that Molly is a great storyteller!

    Engaging but a little empty

I really enjoyed this book for what it was. The stories were interesting and brought up interesting perspectives of love and relationships. My main complaint is that the characters seem very rigid--this is a novel in stories because many of them couldn't stand up to a longer format. The overall intended plot seems to drive the stories. I didn't get a good feel for any of the characters, and in many ways they were kind of the same. Each with quirky reflections about the world or linguistics or what have you, each sympathetic in their own way. Overall I enjoyed the book, and I was satisfied with how it came together at the end and some of the perspectives offered. I would recommend it to be read for what it is.
