best book for parents of RAD kids!
My daughter is RAD, and I have found the book to be extremely helpful both in giving me an understanding of her struggles and giving me a way to help her. It also reminds me that I am not crazy, my kid really needs help!

The first choice for Reactive Attachment Disorder
This book should be the first choice for anyone who lives or works with individuals with Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD). It is written in a clear and concise manner. It will provide you with helpful examples and methods of addressing the issues that face those who want to truely help those they work with or love. The situations and narratives are easily understood by both professionals and laypersons.
I would reccommend this book highly to anyone interested in the subject of RAD.2 out of 2 people found this review helpful.

Classic - not hopeful.
Often considered the "bible" on reactive attachment disorder, this book has all the basic info and contains the traditional approach to addressing RAD. While this may work for some families, especially with young children with RAD, it offers little to no hope for teens just identified with RAD. It is almost exclusively a behavior modification strategy.
