Whiplash by Catherine Coulter

Coulter is at her best in this book. A complicated, convoluted plot with intense action and lots of mystery characterize the story. New characters provide fresh input even though Savich and Sherlock have personality to spare. Conscience free drug companies and political intrigue round out this captivating story.

Coulter writes a good mystery and keeps one captivated and entertained through out the story. Dillon Savich and his wife Lacey Sherlock are once again in the thick of things. Coulter appears to use them as the glue to tie her books together. Erin and Bowie could carry the story line in a stand alone, separate novel. Savich and Sherlock's interaction with each other and Erin and Bowie is fun to read. Perhaps more than many of Coulter's book which often are not intended to exercise your intellect or provide you with insights into your life, this book forces you to contemplate the ethics of the corporate world. There are murders, assaults, psychotics, psychic powers, fires, bombs, shootings, history and love stories in this book. In other words, there is something for everyone. I have enjoyed other Coulter books and I enjoyed this one.

I highly recommend it.

    Whiplash

Why is this not in ebook? It is very discouraging to not be able to get one of my favorite author's new book on Nook! Why have it, if you are not able to get the books you want. Guess the B&N associate was not correct when I was told I could get any book offered by B&N on Nook. Hope the decision not to offer this for Nook owners is soon changed.

You have a problem with nook owners complaning when a new release is not available for e-book. Maybe the author and/or publisher will someday notice some of the negative reviews because of this.

    June 29th release

Catherine Coulter's website replied and told me the ebook would be released the 29th.

Don't Buy a Nook -- or Kindle -- if You Want to Read New Releases

Once again Nook owners are backstabbed by the lack of an eBook version of the latest title in Catherine Coulter's FBI series.

For those who would defend B&N by saying that it's the publisher's fault -- which is partly true -- please ask yourself if B&N is such a huge (largest?) bookseller, why doesn't the company put pressure on publishers to make eBooks available at the same time as the other versions of the hardback book -- such as MP3, large-print, CDs, etc.?

If B&N (which would most likely be joined by Amazon) told publishers that they would withhold new releases until the eBook is also available, publishers would no doubt make eBook releases a priority.

There's no doubt that an eBook version will, at some point, be available -- and probably at a price equal to or exceeding the price of a paperback or even a hardback edition of this fan-favorite series.

Until retailers provide parity to ALL readers, Nook and Kindle owners need to warn prospective purchasers to hold on to their money. Perhaps when eBook reader sales tumble retailers will get the message that eBook readers are worthless when it comes to reading the latest releases.

    Not on NOOK - insane

This is insane that certain books are not available on the Nook. I was told by sales rep that ALL books available in B&N store would be available immediately on my NOOK.

    E-BOOK

I am also disappointed that i cannot get this book in e-book format.
I never would have purchased the Nook if I thought there was a chance that not all of my favorite authors would be available in this format. I, too, was assured by my salesperson that this shouldn't be an issue. Is this the publisher's choice?

    NOT ON NOOK

I agree, I was also told that i could get all my books on nook. Please don't make me sorry I picked the nook over the Kindle. I have been waiting for this book to come out.

    not on nook

Is this a new trend by publishers to make e books not available, if so then it makes the nook pretty useless. Barnes and noble should put pressure on the publishers to issue books in e book format otherwise they will destroy their nook market. I am really disappointed that the author/publisher are so greedy as to not issue e-book version

    Apparently not for Nooks

I too am very disappointed that this was not released in ebook format. Now that I have grown used to using the Nook I am not buying paper format any longer (makes me feel like I am saving some trees).
Sorry to miss this one as I am a Coulter fan and have been for years.
