AWFUL!!!!!! I wish I could give this story ZERO stars!

I listened to this on a disc for a road trip and was thoroughly disappointed! It was horribly written, so unrealistic. The main "characters" were poorly developed and I hated both of them. Don't waste your time or money reading or listening to this story! If you want a good story read Julie Garwood or Catherine Anderson, but stay away from this nonsense! Such a waste of money!

    Maybe okay..sorta

A romantic book with some nasty twists. The frigded plains and steep mountains of Russia are where this story takes place, involving a young woman and her village of horse breeding Cossacks. Katerina, or 'Kat' as she is refered to, is thirsting for revenge for the massacre of her people and the theft of her 'pure white horses'. She visits a cousin who gives her criminal mercinaries to help take back what is rightfully hers. In this group she once agian meets the proud mongol who she encountered within the first few pages. If you like your heroine tough and girly at the same time this book is for you...with its difficult to understand russian words thrown in ocaissionally, the reader often finds it hard to figure out what the author is refering to. The warring wills between the two protaginists also dampens the story line...I often felt like, 'come on give him a break he really likes you and you really like him, why don't you just hug and make it better.'

    Awesome!

This was one of my first romances and I absolutely love it! Ever time I see that book I can't help but reread it. It is a beautiful love story!
