    A Suprising Eye-Opener

I casually picked up this book at a home where I was babysitting. Since the baby had just gone down to sleep, I decided to at least read the first chapter and see what I thought. Well, through the next 3 days, I read it all! For a wholehearted 'good girl' like me, who oozes honesty and earnestness, this book taught me some simple 'tricks' for playing the game of life to win. While I doubt that I could ever embody all the traits that Ms. White sees as essential, I do intend to practice some of them from time to time and see how they work. My only complaints: it's a bit outdated by now, and I hated the constant men vs. women comparison (that might have been more relevant 10 years ago). Good read. Give it a try.

    I'm a Gutsy Girl

This is a breezy trot through the maze of business strategies for women. I avidly read every word Ms. White wrote. Sometimes I shook my head at the narrow and industry-specific ideas, I laughed aloud at her funny anecdotes and soaked up the mood of the book like a sponge. This is a great book for women who are beginning the career path or who need a refreshing refresher course. I recommend this book highly.
