My Thoughts: Another one of my random Nook purchases that I jus

    My Thoughts:

Another one of my random Nook purchases that I just can't help but get. When you see a book cover everywhere, sometimes it takes a lot of willpower to resist the temptation... not unlike the temptation Allegra faces when she meets Jett.

The story starts off quite amusing when they meet in the airport. Their banter, his teasing and kindness, and their first kiss. Well then. It's going to be very interesting when they find out the connection they have, isn't it? When Allegra discovers this, she doesn't say a word. This was supposed to be her honeymoon, she should be allowed to have fun, even if it is with the guy who's trying to steal away the business she needs. But will what they have just be fun when Jett finds out the truth?

Let me tell ya, Wicked Heat was very worth it. The back and forth, the battle for the account, the secrets, the romance? All so perfectly put together. I got my Nook out to write this review and I almost got so caught up rereading scenes I didn't finish the review! If this is how Nicola Marsh writes all her books, please sign me up for more.

    My Rating: Very Good

    Fabulous

    ## Terrific read. Loved, loved the witty banter in this book. It was fun and flirty for sure. Both hero and heroine were very likeable. I relished the fact that the author didn't write the hero as a man-whore like most authors do these days. It's forever off-putting reading about how many women they've bedded. Not the case here. He was a little cocky but in a way that came off as sexy, not arrogant. And the heroine had me won over as soon as she whispered that sexy line to the hero at the airport, minutes after meeting him. I do wish the ending would've played out a little longer, but I will be reading again. Note to author: please write a story equally fabulous for Zoe.

5 Palm-Bay-Fling Stars!! Having been a part of the surprise

    5 Palm-Bay-Fling Stars!!

Having been a part of the surprise reveal for Nicola Marsh’s Wicked Heat, I was antsy to get my hands on the book itself and get my review up. And boy, was this one of the best surprises :D
For starters, I love the characters Jett and Allegra; just their names alone are awesome. They are completely opposite in personality and how they approach life, yet they struggle with and fight for the same things. Jett is the suave, drop-dead-gorgeous playboy that can charm the pants off of anyone…and I mean. Any.One. (Did I mention he’s an Aussie?) But he’s met his match with just-recently-left-at-the-altar Allegra. She is a cool, intimidating, all-walls-up kind of woman that gives Jett as good as she gets.
These two have chemistry in epic proportions.

Unfortunately, both of their professional lives are on the line and each need to land the advertising campaign for Kai Kaluna Resorts in Palm Bay to save their careers, their companies, their livelihood. But only one of them can gain the account while the other is left with nothing. Will their competition destroy their passion for each other? Or will their passion win out overall?
Jett and Allegra were written magnificently. They were witty, sassy, and hilarious. I loved their banter and their desire as well as their logic and reasoning.
Nicola, I truly enjoyed this book and I cannot wait to read Zoe’s story :D

(I received an ARC for my review and this is my honest-to-goodness, straight from the heart review!)

Let me just say, that I have the hardest time keeping a secret e

Let me just say, that I have the hardest time keeping a secret especially when it's super exciting. However, I manage to keep this a secret. Yes, this is the new Brazen book out and I was lucky to get selected to read Wicked Heat by Nicola Marsh. So, Entangled has been keeping this story under raps till today. Boy is this one hot read.

So, we meet Allegra Wilks who's an uptight ad agent that got some pretty bad news. One her wedding was called off by the groom and her business is starting to crumble. Poor gal. So, she heads off to the Kaluna Resort to try to keep her business from tanking. However, there is another is going there to the same thing.

Australian Jett Halcott has been burn by his best friend and just lost his company. So, Jett is heading to Kaluna Resort to try to secure the advertising account to restart his company. He knows the competition will be tough, but he's tenacious. Plus, he has the heart to take down his opponent.

When Allegra and Jett come together, boy instant fire. As they are spending more time with each, Allegra realizes they are both after the same account. Uh-oh! Now that might put a damper on the hot and steaminess, but Allegra manages to keep this a secret. Since this isn't anything more than a fling, what harm can this cause? We all know how well flings turn out when emotions starts to get complicated and jobs are on the line.

Seriously, loved this hot and steamy book. I'm not kidding when I say they were like a wildfire with no end in site. You wouldn't expected from Allegra who is wound up tight to cut loose and be free, but somehow Jett gets her to unwind. Then you have Jett who tends to have flings and nothing too serious and something more with Allegra. As you read Wicked Heat you see a power struggle between in the bedroom, but in the end they both win. So, you are looking for some island fun, you might want checkout Wicked Heat. By the end you might need a cold shower.
