    Stick with it!

The first half of Weilder Awakening, in the beginning, is challenging for more sophisticated readers. However, the author makes enormous improvements in the later half and the authors linguistic skills do mature and are quite skillfull in his second book. The story line while not necessarily original has very interesting twists and is entertaining with its developed characters and well constructed plot. This series is well worth reading for those whom have a little patience with new authors that do not have expensive editors and publishing houses behind them. I look forward to seeing more from this author.

Fresh characters with an exciting plot.

Christensen delivers fresh characters and reveals their traits by showing rather than telling. A mark of a good author. I enjoyed the story and highly recommend it. I am eager to read the sequel. The only recommendation I have is to let the dialogue speak more naturally.

decent fantasy, could use better proofreading

The story was engaging and fun. This is a light read. The work has noticable errors that distract from the content. With more sophisticated language and grammar, this would be a great book.

I'm not sure where these five star reviews are coming from. The writing is so simplistic and repetitive that I could barely get past the first few chapters. The first ten pages alone have so much info dumping it is hard to believe the book was even edited. When I pay for a book I generally make myself read the entire thing, but I don't think I will even manage to make myself finish this book. I should have just thrown $0.99 out the window. At least it was cheap I guess.

    Exciting Adventure Story

I like reading a book that pulls me into it, where I feel a part of it and relate to the characters, and one that makes me think about what is happening and gives sufficient details for me to see the places in my mind. Wielder's Awakening fits this description. In his writings, Mr. Christensen, lets you know what Traven is thinking and feeling. His descriptions make the cities and countryside come to life. The action moved along and kept me reading to find out what was going to happen next. I think it is definitely a good book to read if you like adventure, action, and magic.
    Try it, you'll like!

    A New Adventure

Wielder's Awakening portrays the hopes of adventure and success of a young man, Traven. The plot was clever and eminently enthralling. The world is a simple place to Traven, only knowing life in his small town of Oak Tree, until he leaves to start his schooling in Cayln. Throughout his journey to Cayln Traven's hidden talents begin to unfold. This book is full of adventure, apprehension, sorrow, and action. The story captured my interest and left me eager to read the next novel. I highly recommend this book.
