Even with the lag, I'd suggest reading this - especially, if you've read the other two....just don't expect the same captivation.

While I enjoyed the plot of the book immensely it just didn't captivate me. I love a plot that takes a snotty princess type and turns her into a real person and, in that, the plot did not disappoint. The were just some areas of the book that seemed to lag for me.

    Great Book!

I highly recommend this book. I love stories wehere the main character is stuck up, and over time you actually see him or her change. This book was awesome, and very well written.

    I laughed so hard

There have been other books that i read but this one tops it all. i finished the book in one day. i could not put it down. From the 1st book THE HUSBAND TRAP I wanted to know what happened to the twin sister jeannette. She's what we would consider stuck up and spoiled. But she meet's her match in darragh. This book was wonder full. I have read it 3 times now and each time i found my self laughing. Wonderfull book to read.

    Wonderful- Quick Read

This was a wonderful book. I read it in less than two days. It was refreshing to see that the author didn't skimp over the love scenes, which is typical for many books. I really enjoyed the quick wit and playful banter between the charters. I can't wait to read her other books!

A charming sequel to the delightful THE MARRIAGE TRAP

In 1817 after the scandal she caused when she switched places with her bookish twin sister Violet (see THE HUSBAND TRAP) who is now happily married Lady Jeanne Rose Brantford is exiled to Initsioge, Ireland. The trek turns from monotonous to the coach stuck in the mud just short of her cousin¿s abode. A freeman Darragh O¿Brien helps her retinue move the carriage starting with carrying Jeannette out of the way though she pesters him.------------ At Brambleberry Hall, Jeannette cannot believe how early workers are on the job of renovating cousin Wilda Merriweather¿s home almost burned down by her absent minded scientist spouse. When she learns that Darragh is the architect she tells him to start later, but he refuses. As they become acquainted they fall in love, but she has dreamed of a duke while he is a commoner¿ or is he.-------------- THE WIFE TRAP is a charming sequel to the delightful THE MARRIAGE TRAP starring the sibling who set up the original switch. Though the heroine at first is so spoiled that it is difficult to fathom what Darragh sees in her the portrayal of Jeannette seems realistic especially as she matures into a fine young woman. The gender battle is fun to follow as Darragh ignores Jeannette rants and instead baits and taunts her. Regency fans will appreciate the war between the sexes starring a likable hunk and his beautiful adversary, who is learning about clinches.---------- Harriet Klausner
