The Wild Girl... what more can I say?

The Wild Girl is a love story about a boy torn between two paths. One path is the indian girl he saved and knows she's probably the love of his life and the other is just another regular life. But in chosing his love he would have to give up civilization among many other things. This book is a perfect adventure, thats the only thing I can say. It's an adventure you don't want to pass up.

    INCREDIBLE!

I read Jim Fergus's other book, One Thousand White Women years ago and have been waiting for him to write another. I was so excited when I found out he had another book on the market coming out in May, 05 that I got my hands on an Advance Reading Copy in March, 05. It is fabulous. I couldn't put it down. The story is set out west in the 1930's at the end of the Apache Indian era. It is loosely based on historical events .. the main character writes an amazing journal. Wonderful reading.

Wild Girl by Jim Fergus was a gripping tale built around interesting and diverse characters.

I loved Wild Girl by Jim Fergus; I couldn't put it down. His character development is terrific, and I enjoy his style of writing from journal entries of his main characters. He effectively builds empathy for his characters, even the most unlikeable ones. Highly recommend as a quick read!

    Wonderful!

I would highly recommend The Wild Girl. I just finished it at the beach and was sad to turn the last page. The characters come to life as Fergus weaves their lives together in an unforgettable story. My favorite character is a Tolley! Imagine this young, openly gay, aristocrat joining a Great Apache Expedition in 1932! A great read!

Another great book my Jim Fergus

I loved One Thousand White Women and couldn't get it out of my head. I was so happy to see Jim's second book The Wild Girl I couldn't put it down until the very end. Once again a must read, very enjoyable.

    A must read

I read and loved 1000 White Women that this author wrote. I am so happy that I read this book. It was equally as good. So many times an author has a disappointing second book. This was not the case. It was so well written. Equal to the best books I have read this year.
