    fast-paced romantic suspense

Christy Delacroix¿s seemingly ethical father Nathan is running for governor on a values first ticket. However, someone tries to force him to drop out by threatening to harm his daughter. Though he loves his daughter, Nathan refuses to be bullied out of the race. Instead he hires former marine cum bodyguard Ben Cabrera to keep Christy safe. --- Christy and Ben know each other and were already sharing an attraction before her father hired him. However, Christy is recovering from a horrific relationship and still escaping her mother¿s need for total control while Ben knows she is not a one night stand or even a two week stand. She plans to have fun with Big Ben, but only for a short time. Ben, on the other hand, wants things to remain professional although he cannot resist her lure as he tries to uncover who the threat is and keeping her ex away from her as well as the middle age lothario who wants her. Her plan is for him to pose as her boyfriend something he wishes was real but he knows she is upper crust while he is a working class stiff. --- The bodyguard love story has been used numerous times (for instance the Costner-Houston movie and The First Daughter), but the lead couple makes this an entertaining fresh tale. The story line is fast-paced although the mystery behind the threat is used totally to supplement the romance. In some ways Ben steals the show with his un-Roving approach to election politics. Readers who appreciate a wonderful contemporary between two likable protagonists with some suspense to expedite the prime plot will enjoy WILD FOR HIM. --- Harriet Klausner

Wild For Him by Janelle Denison

What a sweet and sexy love story by Janelle Denison. "Wild For Him" is the story of a strong, quiet hero and a vibrant heroine coming into her own. It's full of Denison's hot and sensual love scenes with the added bonus of a great HEA. Who could pass that up?

Christy is the daughter of a politician running for governor. Her father is receiving threats against her and decides to hire his favorite security guard, Ben. Christy has had the hots for Ben for quite a while now, and with the recent dissolution of her engagement she doesn't see any reason the two of them can't combine a little pleasure with their business. But she'll have to break through Ben's painful past and scarring war experiences to get what she really wants...his heart.

I could feel the heat coming off the pages. The tension between these two was electric. Ben's sense of honor combined with his bad boy traits equals a hero we'd all love to have. And Christy was almost too nice, but as the daughter of a politician, I can see the where and whys of her reactions to some situations. Just an all around enjoyable read.

    Love the stong hero

Ben is the bodyguard and Christy is the daughter of a local politician. With current threats to Christy's life her father is forced to put Ben, a trusted soldier, in his daughter's home to protect her. Well Christy is a good looking woman who wishes to skirt away from certain male admirers so she cooks up a sceme for Ben to play her boyfriend. That gives him a reason to be close to her all the time. But Ben and Christy become to close for comfort while there is a maniac on the loose making threats.. I loved this story and hightly recommend it.

    I Also Recommend:

    Denison Does Good

This was one of her better books. She actually let the chemistry build a little bit longer, which was nice. I liked both of the main characters too. She never writes anything too deep or profound but I like them for quick reads.

    Another top notch adventure

Denison delivers another great Wild novel. My only complaints are the cheesy covers.

    I Also Recommend:

    Good Rainy Day Book!

Typical plot. You basically know what is going to happen within the first couple of chapters. I didn't feel that the characters were very strong. Christine, the main character was good, but Ken, her bodyguard, was a little week. Not Alpha enough for my tastes. This is just a fun, non serious read.

If you are looking for a quick read, or a book that you can put down and come back to at any time, then this book is for you. If you want suspense, powerful characters, and a cliff hanging ending, then this is not the book for you.

The romance was not so steamy either. If you want suspense, alpha males and STEAMY, then read a Lora Leigh book.
