    Fairly interesting

Honestly, I quite enjoyed this book, although as someone else has said, the romance was a bit overdone. The descriptions were... explicit. I still found it interesting, and I enjoyed the parts where Need showed up. Nyara is quite an interesting character, and although the Adept twisted her, you could still identify with her, at least partially, which is a miracle on the part of the author, considering what Nyara is. Frankly, this is a good book, with only a few "problem" spots. Skif's infatuation, frankly was quite funny. Elspeth herself, is my favorite character. Strong-willed, a warrior, but with a distinct sense of humor.

    Awesome book!

I really enjoyed this book. The Mage Winds series is one of my favorite fantasy series, and I've read A LOT. I think it may be the diversity that this book offers: the mystic Tayledras and the people everyone loves, the Valdemarans. I really liked Elspeth. She is independent and cares not about destiny. I also like Vree. He's hilarious! I recomend this book to anyone that needs a good book.

DON'T GET ME STARTED! IN A WORD- YES!!!!

Hello everyone! Let me start off by saying, this is my FAVORITE series of ALL time! READ IT! This book is about Elspeth, a Herald of Valdemar and heir to the throne, who has Mage powers. She is sent to try to get her powers trained so she can use them in the war against Ancar, the king of Hardorn. It is also about Darkwind, a young Mage of his Vale. This book isn't the best in this series, but it kicks up at the end. WELL WORTH THE READ!! This is, in my opinion, the best series of all time. :-) So I have two words for you: READ IT!
