Great
I own an acting and modeling school in Atlanta Georgia and we have been using Janets books for all of our students. These are written from children and for children. Some monologues that we have had to download for our students had innappropriate words for them but not these books. These books I reccomend to anyone wanting to teach childrens monologues

Great Book of Comedy Monologues for Kids!!
I love that this new series has all comedy monologues for my acting students to work on. It's hard to find good comedy pieces for kids that are not just retelling stories for no reason. These original monologues have clear "wants" for the actors to fight for in their imaginary scene partners. The author of this book explains that she wrote the monologues for students she was working with in a workshop which is why they probably ring truer to my students. I like the photos, essays and student acknowledgments in the book because they excite my students and make them want to work harder to achieve their goals, they these students did. I highly recommend this book and the one for teenagers. Note that there are far more monologues in here for girls than boys which is perfect for my classes!
