Our book club loved this book.
One of our members bought it as a gift for each of us! It is short enough to read in a couple of sittings, yet it contains shorties that hold your attention and that are relatable. Each of our members "saw" themselves in at least one of the situations. A great gift for yourself or a friend!

As the author says, "It takes a tremendous amount of courage to live a human life.
During these troubling times, it is helpful when others share a personal experience of meeting a challenge, and letting us know how they overcame it. There is something universal about the struggles that human beings encounter, and knowing that someone else is going through a similar, if not the same, experience can be comforting.
The stories in Wise Woman Collection - Courage of the Soul are relatable, since they are the stories of ordinary people - not those of celebrities or other famous names. The stories are short in nature, so that you can pick up the book and find inspiration in a few pages. There are stories about hope and inspiration, courage and bravery, goals and ambitions, relationships, health and healing, childhood adversity and loss and grief. These are the experiences that tie us together as human beings.
You can read the book in an entire sitting, or find that story that gives you a sense of hope and possibility in relationship to your personal challenge.

In Courage of the Soul, the authors share their own and other people's true stories, each written by the person who experienced the events that he or she is narrating. The stories are moving and inspiring, and the direct, straightforward style with which they are written makes you feel as if the person who is telling the story is speaking to you. The stories are divided into categories: Hope and Inspiriation, Courage and Bravery, Goals and Ambition, Relationships, Health and Healing, Childhood Adversity, Loss and Grief. The stories are only a few pages long, and they are involving and powerful.
