Inspiring, reverent, (and sometime irreverent!) and totally wonderful

This book makes me laugh and cry, often at the same time. I keep it on my comfort bookshelf. A perfect present book for mothers, daughters, grandmothers, aunts, sisters and sister-friends. The faces of these remarkable women show so much emotion with so little effort. No diva-ing, no vogueing, just women who have lived strong, useful lives with courage, kindness and ferocity. Some have overcome unimaginable sorrow and heartbreak, yet they themselves did not break. Every line on a face reveals something about the woman's character. Their posture lets you know they are indomitable.

Incredible

It's an amazing book. I loved it! I'm was inspired in soo many ways. It is truly a compeling, heart worming, good feeling type of book. This is a definite present for my mother, sisters and ,in the future, daughter.

Great gift for mom!

I bought this for my mother for Christmas and it was, by far, her favorite gift. That was only a week ago, but she's already read it several times and talked about it often.

AN INSPIRATION !
